Our historic section for schools is renewed, offering an international stage to tomorrow’s filmmakers.
If cinema is made of “Waves from the Future,” the most powerful and unpredictable wave is the one generated by the gaze of the youth. This is why the beating heart of our commitment to tomorrow is «Videscuola», the Salerno International Film Festival’s section entirely dedicated to the talent blossoming in schools.
We want Videscuola to be much more than a competition: a true space for expression and discovery. It is our commitment to encouraging passion, sharpening a critical eye, and promoting visual literacy. We offer students not just a finish line, but an international stage where their voices can resonate and their creativity can be celebrated.
We are calling on teachers, school principals, and educators: give your students the opportunity to become filmmakers. Schools can participate with works of any genre – short films, documentaries, experimental videos – created by the students. It will be a unique chance to turn the classroom into a film set and to see their own stories projected in a prestigious context. Investing in Videscuola means investing in the very soul of our festival. It means believing that to innovate, one must know how to listen, and that the future of cinema is built today, by giving trust, tools, and visibility to those who will inhabit that future.
