Join us in building the Future of our Memory

The Project

There’s a story spanning almost eighty years that needs you.
A story made of audience members’ gazes, of applause, of films that move.
It’s the story of the Salerno International Film Festival, founded in 1946 and grown alongside the city, its inhabitants, and its dreams.
Today, thanks to your support, we can write a new chapter together.
This campaign helps make the 2025 edition possible and create a museum that preserves the memory of everything that has happened. And that can speak, every day, to those who come after us.

The Festival is still here. But only together can we keep it going

Every November for the past 79 years, Salerno has transformed into a small hub for the world of cinema.

A place where directors, audiences, students, and enthusiasts meet to share stories.
Our Festival has gone through a thousand changes, but it has never lost its soul: human, free, and intimate.

From November 24th to 29th, 2025, we want to bring a special edition to life.
A week filled with films, talks, events, and emotions.
An opportunity to discover the new and remember where we come from.

With your help, we can make it happen.

A Museum to Preserve What We Love

Over the years, we have collected hundreds of posters, articles, black-and-white photos, letters, and film clips. These are precious materials that tell a story not just of cinema, but of people, dreams, and changing generations.

We want to take care of this legacy. And we want to share it.

The Historical Museum of the Festival will be a physical and digital space where every memory can come alive. It will be open to everyone: students, scholars, curious citizens, those who were there, and those who weren’t. A place to come together and discover how cinema has journeyed through our city, year after year.

What will your donation be used for?

We need to raise €30,000, which will be allocated to two concrete goals:

  1. The 79th Edition of the Festival (€15,000)
  • Setup and logistics
  • Printing and communication
  • Guest hospitality
  • Subtitling and translations
  • Fees for staff and technicians
  1. The Historical Museum of the Festival (€15,000)
  • Restoration of historical materials
  • Digitization and archiving
  • Online platform for public access
  • Preservation equipment

Even a symbolic contribution becomes part of something bigger

About Us

We are the Organizing Committee of the Salerno Film Festival.
We are people who have dedicated years of time, energy, and passion to keeping this event alive.

We do it for the love of cinema. And because we believe that culture must remain free, public, and accessible.

The Festival isn’t just “ours”; it belongs to everyone who has experienced it, even just once. It belongs to everyone who wants to see it thrive.

Help us keep it going.
